2023年7月末にQQイングリッシュでカランメソッドの受講を開始し、2024年11月にStage12まで完了することができました。カランメソッドのまとめ記事はこちらを参照してください。次のステップとして、同じくQQイングリッシュのトピックカンバセーション（初級）を受講しました。受講開始時の記事はこちら、受講完了時の記事はこちらです。初級完了後、トピックカンバセーション（中級）を受講していました、この度、日本に帰国することになり、QQ Englishの受講を中断することになりました。中級の学習記録とこの2年間の学習の成果について書きたいと思います。

1. トピックカンバセーション（中級）の途中経過
トピックカンバセーション（中級）は2025年6月7日から受講を開始し、2025年10月5日まで4カ月受講しました。中級ではUnitがAからHの8個あり、ユニットにトピックが5つ、Unitのレビューが1つと6レッスンで構成されています。
最初に写真描写があって、Key Phrasesを確認したあと、5個程度のKey Sentencesのスライドに沿って質問に対する回答や自分の意見を言っていきます。基本的なレッスンの流れは初級と同じです。
私の受講スタイルも初級の時と変わらず、レッスン前に予習を１時間程度して、写真描写や質問の回答を予め準備しました。
土曜日と日曜日に1レッスンずつ受講し、4カ月でUnit Eまで30レッスン完了し、最後にレベルチェックを受けました。費用は月400ポイント（50ポイントのレッスンを8回受講可）を購入し4カ月で21,920円でした。
2. 効果
受講開始時の記事や初級完了時の記事で書いたとものと同じ効果が得られていると感じています。
- 語彙力・表現力の向上
- 会話のバリエーションの向上
- 自分の意見を述べられるようになる
予習をしてレッスンを受講し、レッスンでは積極的に自分の意見を言うことが大事だと思います。仕事のミーティングや会社やパブでのスモールトークに活かされます。
3. レベルチェック
帰国前にレベルチェックを受けました。2年前にレベルチェックを受けたときは、3.0でした。今回は5.0（10段階中5番目）となりました。語彙が限定的、発音の誤りが多い、ポーズが多くスローになることがある、言い直しが多いなど色々課題はあります。それでも多少は進歩しているのではないかと思います。
日本に帰って生活が落ち着いたらまた再開したいと思います。

can start responding at a timely manner but the overall responding time may become lengthy due to noticeable pauses and slow delivery, although the content of speech is rather simple and scarce
